Are you afraid your users aren't getting your messages because they assume you are serving up SPAM? Our Engineers have been hard at work providing you with new quality ingredients for your relevance engines so your communications can be served up for any meal without fear of them being ignored as SPAM. Our next big release date isn't until November, but this weekend a few of the key features from the release will show up in your accounts. If you want to take advantage of them, read on!
Starting this Saturday, Oct 10th, you will now find that your relevance engine design views have a new section you can use. That section is called Sender Overrides. In that section you can set both the caller ID and email display name that your form will use to send out phone calls and emails. It looks like this when you add it to a form:
Here is a message with the above Email Display Name setting:
"Acme Emergency Coordinator" is clearly trying to get your attention. Definitely not SPAM. And you can set this per message.
A cool feature for sure... but even cooler is the fact the feature is part of our relevance engine builder technology. Our relevance engine builder tools allow you to provision this feature on a per form basis to decide the use case you want to support:
- Add the feature to a form, set it, and then hide it - mandate corporate identity standards for messages. Keeps it easy to use for the sender, but still allows the designer to set it per form.
- Add the feature to a form, set it (or not), show it, and then collapse it - recommends corporate identity standards for messages and allows the sender to change it as necessary. Allows power users to change the settings, but it doesn't take up too much room
- Add the feature to a form, set it (or not), show it, and leave it expanded - recommends corporate identity standards for messages and allows the sender to change it as necessary. This option takes up a lot of room, but it makes it crystal clear what the current settings are and that they can be changed.
- Don't use it at all - risk SPAM purgatory.
Here is the design view in the Layout Designer where you can choose all of your options, including the defaults, visibility and order:
You can drag and drop this section into any of your forms, so have fun.
We also updated scenarios to remember the values you set, so feel free to set these values in your scenarios and we will remember them for you and your users.
There are tons of other cool new features coming in the Fall Release in November. So stay tuned for more details, and in the mean time enjoy this new setting on any of your forms this weekend.
