The xMatters Integration Builder supports the creation of automated closed-loop integrations between xMatters and other products to maximize the efficiency of communication for DevOps, help desk, and support teams.
xMatters is investing heavily in the elements of our integration platform and the integrations we build with them. The latest results of this investment are our new Shared Libraries.
This is a feature primarily focused at Integration Developers, but anyone that sends or receives a notification using an xMatters integration will benefit from this enhancement to our platform.
Less Integration Code
+ Simple Customizations
= Robust Communication During Major Incidents
Shared libraries provide a means to share and reuse code across different integration services within a communication plan. The reduced code duplication means that it's easier than ever to make customizations to integrations and tailor the functionality to meet the exact business needs and technical challenges that are unique to each of our customers.
Shared libraries are found in the Integration Builder:
You can add functions to your libraries using standard JavaScript. When you create a new library, sample code will demonstrate how easy it is to create and use the functions contained in the shared library:
Once created, the exported functions in your shared libraries can be used in any of your inbound or outbound integration transformation scripts:
Shared libraries will be released to all customers in the 5.5.140 release on Thursday, November 17. For further details, check out our product documentation.
