"Traffic Rate Exceeded" message from WCTP paging

Customers sometimes receive a message from Arch Wireless WCTP saying "Traffic Rate Exceeded".

Issue Details

Customers sometimes receive the following message from Arch Wireless WCTP:

Warning. The rate at which traffic is entering the system exceeds the allowed quota. If this continues the sender will be permanently disabled (see error 503).

This is a warning that the load has exceeded what the service provider allows for your particular level of service.


This message is due to an issue with the WCTP provider, not xMatters. To resolve this issue, contact your service provider to verify your service plan and its limits.
