Description:

 The combination of NetIQ AppManager and AlarmPoint provides users with  an inexpensive, interactive notification solution. The combined solution  ensures that service impacting events detected by NetIQ are sent to  on-duty, off-duty and remote personnel. AlarmPoint allows IT staff to  set event resolution in advance. The process is then altered based on  the specifics of the event detected by AppManager. The event is then  sent to the appropriate group or user for response and is escalated  until solved. Users can acknowledge the event, change the status, take  an action and execute via command line directly on the AppManager  application. This flexibility provides AppManager with remote management  capabilities via the web, email, telephones, mobiles, pagers and now  instant messaging. NetIQ users can manage groups and schedules from the  AlarmPoint product set.

Prerequisites:

The following components must be installed prior to installing the integration:

  • NetIQ AppManager Suite 6.0
  • AlarmPoint 3.0.0 or higher
  • AlarmPoint Java Client 2.3.4 or higher
