How to enable brokering for a remote notification server node in xMatters 5.0

xMatters 5.0 (the premises version), if you install a separate notification server node to use for phone calls and it is not on the same network as the xMatters database, you can reduce latency and improve performance by enabling service brokering on the remote node.

To enable brokering:

  1. Stop the notification server node.
  2. On the node, open the/node/assets/resources/spring/integration/serviceCallContext.xml file in a text editor.
  3. Locate and uncomment the following entries:
<property name="interceptorNames">
<list>
<value>notificationServiceCallPointCutAdvisorvalue>
list>
property>
<property name="interceptorNames">
<list>
<value>alarmPointScriptObjectFactoryCallPointCutAdvisorvalue>
list>
property>
<property name="interceptorNames">
<list>
<value>auditServiceCallPointCutAdvisorvalue>
  list>
property
>
  1. Save and close the file.
  2. Restart the node.
