Password files not properly created during integration agent installation

Issue Details

During installation, the xMatters integration agent creates an encrypted password file for accessing xMatters web services, and, optionally, an encrypted password file for accessing the integration agent. In some cases, these password files are not created even though no installation errors are reported. As a result, when starting the integration agent, the following log messages may appear, depending on which password file is missing:

AlarmPoint.txt

2009-05-12 13:38:36,290 [WrapperSimpleAppMain] WARN - Unable to decrypt the Web Service user password file located at ./.wspasswd. An empty password will be used, but this will likely cause the Integration Agents heartbeats to be rejected.
com.alarmpoint.integrationagent.exceptions.FileNotFoundException: The path ./.wspasswd was resolved to C:\sandbox\branch_4.0.x\integrationagent\distr\installation\conf\.wspasswd, but does not refer to an existing file.

apia.txt

2009/05/12 13:55:48.687 | main | ERROR | com.alarmpoint.integrationagent.exceptions.ExitCodeException: Exit code 65: Malformed IA config file located at C:\sandbox\BRANCH~4.X\INTEGR~1\distr\INSTAL~1\.\conf\IAConfig.xml. Reason: Unable to decrypt the Integration Agents client access password file located at {0}. This could allow a security breach, the Integration Agent must shut down.
...
Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to decrypt the Integration Agents client access password file located at {0}. This could allow a security breach, the Integration Agent must shut down.

Caused by: com.alarmpoint.integrationagent.exceptions.FileNotFoundException: The path ./.passwd was resolved to C:\sandbox\branch_4.0.x\integrationagent\distr\installation\conf\.passwd, but does not refer to an existing file.

Resolution

If the log message in AlarmPoint.txt is produced, run the following command appropriate for your operating system and restart the integration agent.

Windows

<IAHOME>/bin/iapassword.bat --new ia_complex --file conf/.wspasswd

Unix

<IAHOME>/bin/iapassword.sh --new ia_complex --file conf/.wspasswd

NOTE: The latter assumes that the password for the default integration agent web service user (IA_User) has not been changed through the web user interface. If the password has been changed, replace "ia_complex" in the iapassword command with the actual password.

If the log message in apia.txt is produced, run the following command and restart the integration agent:

Windows

<IAHOME>/bin/iapassword.bat --new your_password --file conf/.passwd

Unix

<IAHOME>/bin/iapassword.sh --new your_password --file conf/.passwd

NOTE: Change "your_password" in the iapassword command with the password that you specified in the "Set IA Access Password" field during installation.
