Whenever xMatters refreshes the SIP register session, the Node cancels the current registration session; can I configure my SIP deployment to prevent this?
When refreshing a SIP session, the default configuration always sends a "cancellation registration" before sending the registration. For xMatters 4.0.0 patch 005, a feature was added to allow administrators to change this behavior.
To reconfigure the registration cancellations for a SIP deployment:
- Stop the xMatters node.
- Do one of the following:
- In xMatters 4.0 (patch 005 and later), open the<xMHOME>\node\assets\resources\spring\integration\deSipContext.xml file and locate the property.
- In xMatters 4.1 and 5.0, open the <xMHOME>/node/assets/config/default.properties file and locate the sipRegistrationAgent.sendCancellationRegistration property.
- Change the value for the property to false.
- Save and close the file.
- Restart the node.
Repeat the above steps for each node in your deployment.
Note: This configuration change will apply to all SIP service providers in your xMatters deployment. It is not possible to have one SIP provider send cancellations, and another provider omit them.
