End of Life Notice for Bamboo

First, we want to start by thanking you for being an xMatters customer. Your support has allowed us to deliver advanced communication products for over 15 years. Our On-Demand platform represents the cutting edge of communication technology and will be the backbone of sound corporate communication processes for years to come.

This year represented an unrivalled investment in our mobile applications for the On-Demand service. To continue our sharp focus on delivering innovative solutions for xMatters On-Demand:

Today we're officially announcing that support for Bamboo will be withdrawn on November 30th, 2016

So, what does this mean for our Bamboo clients? First, be assured that our Client Assistance Team will continue to help you as much as possible with Bamboo product issues. And, when you're ready to transition to the xMatters On-Demand platform, our Client Assistance and Consulting Teams will be there to support you. 

To smooth the transition from Bamboo, xMatters Product Management is working hard with our customers and Engineering teams to further expand the major incident management capabilities of xMatters On-Demand. We believe that concentrating all our development efforts on our Communication Plans in the On-Demand service will result in a better experience for all of our customers.

In keeping with this theme, earlier this year we also announced that support for all xMatters On-Premise products will be withdrawn in October 2017. One result of the increased focus on the On-Demand services has meant that many of the features previously available in Bamboo - such as ad hoc messaging and accessing the contact details for key resources in your organization - are now part of the xMatters for iOS & Android apps.

In 2016 we'll continue this trend: our mobile roadmap includes projects to close some of the final gaps related to plan distribution and the ability to view and contact the on-call members of resolver groups.

In the meantime, we're also working on what will be the final release of the Bamboo for iOS app which will add support for the latest iOS devices. Look for this update in early 2016.
