How to update the xMatters mobile apps from the App Store or Play Store

A common task when troubleshooting issues with the mobile app is to make sure you have the latest version of the app, including any bug fixes, installed on your device. You can make sure you've got the latest version of the app on your phone by:

  1. Comparing the number of the version installed on your device to the number of the most up-to-date version.
  2. Updating the app from the App or Play Store.

To find out the latest version number of the app

The most up-to-date version of the iOS app is available at the App Store and the version of the Android app at the Play Store. The version number for the xMatters app will be listed as shown in the screenshots below.

To check the xMatters version number installed on your device

For an iOS device:

  1. Tap Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage.
  2. Under STORAGE, tap Manage Storage > xMatters.

For an Android device:

  1. Tap Settings > Apps.
  2. In the list of Apps, tap xMatters and scroll down to the bottom of the App info screen.

To update the xMatters app on your device

If the version on your phone does not match the most up-to-date version available, you can update the version of the app on your device.

On an iOS device:

  1. Tap the App Store icon on your device.
  2. Find xMatters in your list of purchased apps.
  3. Tap Update to update to the latest version.

On an Android device:

  1. Tap the Play Store icon on your device.
  2. Find xMatters in your list of installed apps.
  3. Tap Update to update to the latest version.
