Mobile Apps and SAML

Some users may have recently encountered an issue when attempting to connect their xMatters mobile apps using a local account that bypasses their SAML configuration. If their user account does not have the "Enable Native Login for SAML" function assigned to one of their roles, the connection will fail.

This configuration change ensures that mobile app users who are logging into xMatters are held to the same permissions that are required for the web user interface. All user accounts that are bypassing SAML, whether logging in via the mobile app or into xMatters with a browser, must now have the "Enable Native Login for SAML" permission.

As of August 30th, 2016, this change has been applied to both the xMatters iOS and xMatters Android apps via Oauth2 token authentication.
