As part of our hosting service improvements, we’re making some necessary upgrades to our infrastructure that will require a brief interruption in service for customers using our Communication API.
This maintenance will also prevent the delivery of any SMS notifications for the duration of the process.
When is this happening?
We will perform this maintenance on Thursday, January 3, at 10:30 AM Pacific. The process will take no more than 30 minutes to complete.
How will this affect you?
If you are using our Communication API service, you may be unable to access or use the Communication API until the maintenance is complete. Any events injected into the Communication API will be rejected or ignored, and the web user interface will be unavailable.
Once the maintenance is complete, you may need to update your whitelists if you are using IP address whitelisting and haven't updated your lists already.
For all other customers, xMatters will not be able to send any SMS notifications created during the maintenance period. The notifications will be created but cannot be delivered, and will be discarded or cancelled after the appropriate number of retries for your system.
All other notification types, including email, voice, and xMatters apps, will continue to be delivered and created as usual.
How will we remind you?
We're sending out notifications via our status page to let people know about this today, and we will send a reminder to all subscribers when the maintenance is set to begin (and again when it's all finished).
