xMatters integration with ServiceNow Event Manager

Hello,

We have integrated ALL our current monitoring tools to ServiceNow Event Manager for Alert aggregation and event correlation.
I know, we already have xMatters integration pack with ServiceNow for incidents, Engage with xMatters etc..

Do we have similar integration mechanism for sending xMatters pages for the ServiceNow Event Manager Alerts.
Requirement is to page xMatters groups on a specific ServiceNow Alert types.

Let me know, if this is possible or not?

  • Interested in this thread and whether or not any existing integrations are available. 

    We too have the integration mechanism for sending xMatters pages for the ServiceNow tickets (Engage with xMatters) and are looking to implement Event Management Alerts via xMatters on a specific ServiceNow events and would like to update the event with acknowledgement responses.

    If there isnt an existing OOB integration has anyone accomplished this by designing a Flow?

    I checked with our Product Management team and this is still on their backlog to get to. With that said can you talk about what you want the flow to be able to do?

    Some things that would be helpful to know:

    > How do you determine what ServiceNow events to initiate a flow?
    > What do you want the flow to do exactly? Create an xMatters event, notify out and record the responses back to the ServiceNow event?
    > Is there a mechanism to send a web request based on a ServiceNow business rule you create? In other words, do we have a way to send a webhook or web request for these particular events out to xMatters?

    I will have to defer to others in the community on any help creating a business rule to do the actual POST to xMatters but once you have that I think a flow on the xMatters side should be relatively simple to organize.

    In ServiceNow Event Manager we will build the logic / workflow to initiate the rest call to xmatters for events requiring an xmatters notification and record the response.

    Yes - Exactly.
