About xmatters OAuth

Hi Team,

    I am trying to integrate xmatters with external application, So for that i need xmatters access token. Is username and password were mandatory fields to generate access tokens? Is it possible to generate without these values.
As this is a privacy issue, it sounds odd to the end users asking them to provide passwords.
