But what's even better is when other xMatters users can join in and help explain why your idea is so great (and maybe add their own ideas and improvements) and convince the powers-that-be that they should spend some time building it into the product.
I have an idea!
If you'd like to share your idea or request, just add a new post to this section of the Community and be sure to include the following details:
1. What is the business purpose or requirement that drives this request?
In short, what is it that you're trying to do, and what's keeping you from doing it?
2. What's the impact of the issue?
Does this missing feature or enhancement affect just you or just your team? Or does it affect every user in your organization?
3. What part of the product does this relate to?
Tell us where you're having issues; web user interface, Integration Builder, scripting, notification delivery, mobile apps, etc. The more precise you can be, the easier it will be for us to dig in and see what's happening.
4. Does this involve an integration?
If this involves a specific integration, make sure you tell us the integration version and name!
If we decide that your idea is something we want to add to our feature backlog, we'll reach out to you with a reference number that you can use to track the progress of your request through the system.
Keep in mind, of course, that not every request winds up in the product, and those that do might a) take some time, and b) evolve over the course of the their development into something that satisfies the original request and requirements, but doesn't really look all that much like your original concept.
