Getting group information using the API

How can I retrieve group and group member information using the API in my xMatters instance?

Answer

To retrieve all the group information (both groups and group members) using the xMatters API you'll need to create a script to use distinct API Endpoints, and then pull the information together manually.

API Endpoints:

• Get a group

• Get groups

• Get group members

For nested groups, you may need to script additional queries to pull information from each nested group recursively.
