If you or any of your users are AT&T subscribers, you may have been using their email-to-text or text-to-email features. As described by AT&T itself:
Email to text is when you send an email that appears on the AT&T subscriber’s device as an SMS or MMS. You do this by entering the recipient's 10-digit wireless number, followed by @txt.att.net or @mms.att.net. For example, 5551234567@txt.att.net or 5551234567@mms.att.net. This also applies to any SMS or MMS message you receive as an email to text on your AT&T device.
Well, according to this notice on the AT&T support site, they are removing support for this feature on June 17, 2025. To be completely clear, they aren't just removing support for it: the feature won't work at all after that date.
This is just a heads up that this is happening and if you or any of your users have devices in xMatters configured to use this feature, they will no longer work after June 17. You will have to edit or replace these devices with correctly configured SMS numbers or email addresses.
