Thoughts on fire alarm system integration

We've began talking with our facility engineering group about possible integration of building fire alarm to our BCM instance as a way to notify employees 1) that a fire may exist and 2) to remain away from the notified building.

Curious if any customers have such an integration today and possibly any "gotchas" you experienced in making such an integration.

       It's always nice to hear we're being shopped around :D. I was hoping others might weigh in but I guess not, so I'll jump in with what I know. 

    I pinged our BCM guy to get his input, but I'll share my general integration knowledge. 

    The first question is if that fire alarm application can trigger a webhook or, not as friendly but still possible, an email when something happens. You can then send that into a Comm Plan, either the Integration Builder for the webhook option or the Form for the email option and that can notify any group within xMatters of any details included in that payload/email.
