John Vail
My Supervisor asked me to notify the new Primary on call person in each group when the rotation changes so that they are aware they are on call now. I know there is a feature being developed to address this issue - but my Supervisor wants it now. However, I am trying to work around it by using a scheduled message to the group. I send the message 1 minute after the rotation to inform the new Primary that they are now on call. The problem is that it is sending to everybody in the group even if the Primary accepts the message right away. Is there anyway to set it up so that it terminates the message after the Primary accepts it? So that nobody else is notified? Thanks

No problem.... simply set the response action to “End” in the Communication Plan Builder.
Hi John,
Please refer to this link to see all the options you have for responses https://help.xmatters.com/OnDemand/xmodwelcome/communicationplanbuilder/formdetailsresponsesresponseactions.htm.
I think you'll want to select either End or Assign to User.
I don't have those options. All I have is NONE or NOTIFY UNTIL ACCEPTED.
I'm not using the online version of xMatters. I'm using a version my company has installed.
Any other suggestions? We are moving to the OnDemand version early 2018. Thanks.
Hi John,
Please use the Notify Until Accepted option in that case.
