Hello everyone,
I was wondering if xMatters events can be triggered based on a specific time or timeframe. The use case I'm trying to solve is that of the departments in my company does not want to be notified of a particular event until 7am for any event occuring after 8pm the previous evening. I know you can define a time delay within a subscription form but that is based on what time the event occurs. I'm looking for logic that says "Oh this event occured after 8pm so I will wait to send this notification at 7am". I appreciate any responses in advance.

Hi Erik,
If you configure a group to have a shift that starts at 7am and ends at 8pm, it will automatically exhibit the behavior you are talking about. So if an event targeting the group happens any time between 8pm and 7am, the group/shift will receive notifications at 7am for any active events.
Note that you will need to make sure the event timeout is long enough so that the event is still active when the shift starts. So for example, you may want to configure the event timeout to be 24 hours.
Let me know if this solves your need.
Thanks,
Tom
