Is Device protocol honored when using Escalation Overrides

Not Yet Reviewed

Hi User Community -

The question I had is whether device delays are honored for users when the escalation override is used?

    Thanks,

  • Hi Brooke

Yes, device settings are respected when replying to a notification with the "Escalate" option. Device delays and timeframes are ignored, however, whenever a device is targeted directly as a recipient (as opposed to notifying the user who owns the device).

  • Hi Brooke

I'm sorry - I just realized you're probably asking specifically about the "Escalation Override" setting on the communication plan handling options. Fortunately, my answer still applies. Escalation overrides apply only to group-based escalations. Any configured device timeframes and delays will still be applied.

  • Hi Don -

My question was specifically about the communication plan handling options.

And you provided was the answer I was hoping to get. Thanks so much for the response.
