Could someone help me to "translate" this message about a failure which occured on a GSM Node...
<< The AlarmPoint Health Monitor on node APPSERVER1 (...) has detected that the GSM modem 2-way protocol provider of company COMPNAME has failed beyond the configured threshold. The most recent failure occured on node NOTIFYSERVER3 (...) with message com.invoqsystems.apex.component.device.engine.exceptions.TransportRecoverableException: <message>GSM: Send message failed</message>. The service provider may be unavailable or the protocol provider may be incorrectly configured. >>

There is not much to go on here, I would increase the Node logging to Detailed(all) and do the same with the GSM device engine so we can see the data going back and forth between the host machine, and the GSM modem.
Also do you know the make and Model of modem.
Once you have the logging set, we should see modem commands going to the modem, and responses coming back, in the
<xMHOME>/logs/AlarmPoint.txt
and a bit more detail in
<xMHOME>/logs/AlarmPoint_gsm.txt

well, that for sure is not a GSM modem error, that error is all about not being able to reach a email server, it could be that a fire wall is blocking you if that is an external address, or the IP address has changed
