Unable to install xmatters

Hi, we are evaluating the xmatters application. We tried to install it on a linux server but unfortunately we were not able to install it. We are getting an error "couldn't generate Instance Id". Need some help on how to proceed.
Is there a trial version available or we have to get a license for it?
