Chris Crocco
We are getting ready to integrate with our SSO solution, but before we doe we are wanting to confirm whether we are able to separate the web services accounts to authenticate without the redirect for SAML. Is this possible and if so can you point us at any resources that are available on this scenario?
Thanks!

Hi Chris, if you are referring to authenticating via the API, you should be able to do it still with Basic Auth or OAuth for integrations that have "service accounts". Same applies to "Web Service User" accounts that are used primarily for EPIC, and SOAP calls. If you have specific end-users that want to be able to come in via a side-door and bypass your SSO/SAML solution, you can have your Client Success Manager provide you with an additive role that has the "Enable Native Login For SAML Users" function. A user with that Role with that Function included can log in to xMatters natively using an xMatters Web Login ID and password (applies to users who already have access to xMatters via their organization's SSO/SAML implementation). Hope that helps. Cheers, Jordan.
