Web Service Integration with HP Service Manager (custom table)

Not Yet Reviewed

Hi,

We're trying to integrate XMatters 5.1.5 with a custom table in HP service manager using web services.

When I tried to add an event using AddEvent web service call from java script, I'm getting error on passing event tokens.

Is there any guide on integrating HP service manager custom table with XMatters or how to pass the eventtokens in java scripts?

Regards,
Dinesh Vel

  • Assuming that you've added a trigger to your table that invokes the AlarmPointEvent.addEvent function, I'm guessing that you are passing a record that doesn't include all of the fields required by the function (eg, record.assignee_name, etc).

It's hard to provide more info without knowing what specific error you are getting.

We don't have a guide that is specific to making the HPSM integration work with custom HPSM tables. Please export the table schema and your Alarmpoint* javascript code (in text/Javascript form,) then open a support ticket and attach these files along with the log file containing the error message. Once we have this information, we'll try to help you get your integration working.

  • Hi Dinesh

Have you tried the latest integration guide for the HP Service Manager integration? https://support.xmatters.com/hc/en-us/articles/202564919

There's a section in Chapter 4 that explains how to add new event tokens
