Gavin Brown
I have a relevance engine into which I want to create about 20 forms, which are all quite similar, with minor differences. I'd like to finish creating one then duplicate it to create the others. Is there any way that I can do this? If not, could this be considered an idea?
Thanks,
Gavin.

Would relevance engine form scenarios work for you?

I don't think so. Each form has to be able to be initiated by email (or web services if we can get that working) and therefore separate forms with separate email addresses for initiation will work best.
I think this is already in the product backlog - I'll find out for you.
OK, the 'copy form' feature is indeed in the product backlog. I'll reach out to Doug Peete to see whether he is able to provide any colour on timing.
thanks.
Strangely I tried to answer about an hour ago from my monsterously large iPhone and it appears my answer didn't get in:(
We did receive a request for this earlier in the month and started efforts of planning the feature. We are currently heads down on our new Group Schedling UI and new integration tools, so we are a few months out, but we will get to this one relatively soon.
With that said, the properties are reusable across forms, so the effort isn't as bad as starting completely from scratch. You also might be able to work with our Client Assistance group to use the Import/Export format to quickly clone a form 20 times.
It looks to me that I can export a relevance engine and I can import them. But judging by the name of the json file and the id numbers in the file, this isn't a DIY job? Do I export the relevance engine, then send the export to them and ask them to make a number of clones of the form?
I am not 100% sure we can do it, but once you build a good base version of the form it is worth exporting it and sending in the request to Client Assistance.
thanks.
I do not see an option to copy a Form - has this been enabled?
Per Support - "There is currently no way to copy a Form. However, an Enhancement Request was submitted for this some time ago for the ability to duplicate a form. The Enhancement Request is PM-4536. The current state is that the request is part of our Product Backlog. More information around that can be found within the article Product Enhancements - Post Submission."
Unfortunate that this has been in backlog for over 4 years...
Hi Steve - we are currently working on some very cool new features that will change the way customers build communication flows in our system and across systems. The initial work will focus on how our inbound and outbound integrations are built, but it will also begin to change the design tools for communication plans, forms, and their sub-elements (like responses). As part of that work we can look at how this would fit into the workflow.
Is your use case similar to Gavin's where you are building out multiple permutations of the same form to support manual messaging? What do you expect to change with variations (with examples being the form layout, the message formatting, the responses, the access permissions, the integrations or other)?
I would still like to see this feature added. My case is exactly as described above. I want to build out multiple permutations of the same form. I will vary the group and some of the language in the messages. These forms will all have workflows associated with them so they can be triggered via email - a different email address for each variation.
