I don't think that there is an xmatters app for windows phones, but I'm wondering if one is in the pipeline.
Cheers,

Not at this time. By the latest marketshare reports iOS and Android account for 96% of the market. And despite Microsoft subsidizing Windows Phone it has actually slid backwards in recent marketshare polls:

We won't say "never" to the idea. But Windows Phone has to do a lot better in the marketplace to warrant investing in it.
thanks.
Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile should both have an App. Development for Windows 10 will work on Windows 10 Mobile. regardless of the market share wouldn't you want to support all your customers. Windows 10 is on over 200 million devices now. So... get to it.

Hi Jeff,
We hear you. We continue to evaluate the Windows Mobile market, and Microsoft seems to be making a big push for seeding the market by giving away the product to enterprises.
At our user conference we announced that we were using Microsoft's development tools to experiment with porting our Android and iOS apps over. We quickly discovered that the iOS bridge didn't support apps built with storyboards (a technology we use) and Microsoft appears to have killed their Android bridge (http://www.windowscentral.com/microsofts-project-astoria-delayed). So we briefly were in a Microsoft created dead-end.
However Microsoft has recently added support for iOS apps with storyboards (https://blogs.windows.com/buildingapps/2015/11/18/windows-bridge-for-ios-where-we-are-and-where-we-are-headed/), so the project is picking back up. We'll share what we find on if the iOS bridge will now be an answer for us.
How about just building for Windows 10 !
It comes down to resource utilization. We are applying our resources to build out new features on the market dominating platforms... we are currently building out the ability to manage on-call devices, receive notifications for impending on-call shifts, and a few other important features. If we can support an up and comer with cross compiling it will allow us to deliver those on all of the requested platforms. Building a Windows Phone app from scratch would divert those resources from working on those important features.
Is Windows Phone a strategic direction at DirecTV?
Any guess on the breakdown of users at DirecTV using iOS, Android and Windows Phone (no cheating - Windows 10 doesn't count here... we don't build desktop operating system apps... that is served by the browser client)?
I am afraid I don't understand your question. But the Surface devices seem to be trying to blur those lines. However, at that compute scale I am not sure why somebody wouldn't use the fully featured web app instead of a mobile app.
I was able to pull Android and iOS stats for your company, so I do have those numbers. That data is private info, so we'd need to compare those numbers to your projected Windows Phone adoption via email or phone if you are interested.
Not all people employed by Directv/at&t get a company phone. Also any reason you decided to look up my account info and broadcast details in the forum here? Bad form Doug.
As for not building desktop apps, how many "mobile" devices run a desktop OS that might benefit from notifications an app can provide. no cheating now..
web app or website?
Hi Jeff,
As a moderator of this forum and a product owner at xMatters I am attempting to gather useful market information and to provide context in our current direction. I would never share actual company details such as the device data (as demonstrated), so if there is a perceived breach in form, my apologies. With that said, my email address is dpeete(at)xmatters.com, so you or any of our other valued customers who want to drop me a line are welcome to do so! We listen to any and all input and try to help as best as we can.
Either way, I will still provide an update to this thread on how the iOS bridge works when I have that datapoint. That will give us a much better idea of when we might be able to support Windows Phone.
Doug
