Hello everyone,
I’m currently working on integrating xMatters into a custom incident management system we’ve developed in-house; but I’m running into some challenges. The goal is to trigger incident notifications automatically based on specific events within the custom system but I’m having trouble with the API calls & setting up the proper triggers. While I’ve followed the integration guides, the notifications aren’t being sent as expected, and the incidents aren’t syncing correctly between xMatters and our system.
I’ve double-checked the API credentials, confirmed the endpoint configurations, and tested the trigger conditions. However; there seems to be a mismatch in the data being sent from the incident management system and how xMatters processes it; especially when trying to map fields from our custom system to xMatters incident templates. Is anyone here familiar with handling such integrations? What’s the best approach to ensure smooth communication between a custom-built system and xMatters? Checked https://help.xmatters.com/xmapi/Generative AI related to this and found it quite informative.
I would really appreciate some advice or a step-by-step guide to troubleshooting this integration. If there’s a more streamlined way to map our custom fields and trigger notifications based on specific system events, I’d love to hear about it. Thanks for any suggestions or experiences you can share!
Thank you !!
