Group and time zone functionality explained

Question 

When I look at a group's properties (especially during a sync) I notice the group has a time zone property. Why can't I can't modify it?

Answer

When groups and shifts are created, the default time zones are based on the time zone of the user that created them. When other users look at those groups or shifts, times are converted to the logged-in user's time zone.

xMatters automatically converts between different time zones. The initial time zone is set as a point of reference and does not need to be modified. If you would like to change the reference time zone, recreate the groups or shifts with a user that is set to the time zone you want to base them on.
