Answer

One of our key objectives is to provide an outstanding level of protection to our clients when processing their Personally Identifiable Information (PII). To achieve this, xMatters has crafted a strategy for aligning with the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

To ensure PII remains protected outside the EU jurisdiction, xMatters has implemented the following Data Transfer Mechanisms:
  • EU - Canada: Adequacy
The xMatters Technical Support Team is mostly based in Canada. Canadian privacy regulations are considered adequate to the GDPR.
  • EU - UK/USA: Standard Contractual Clause (SCC)
xMatters uses Standard Contractual Clauses for data transfers between the EU and the jurisdictions listed below for the following purposes:
    • UK: Data storage and technical support
    • US: Billing and sub-processors
